Lynne Andrade, MA, LPC, NCC

Lynne Andrade was raised and educated in Boulder, Colorado where she graduated from the University of Colorado with a B.A. in Mathematics. Years later she graduated from Regis University with her Masters of Counseling. In between her two degrees, she worked both in the health field and as a professional musician while raising her two children.

Lynne has always loved horses, attaining her dream of riding and having one of her own only as a young adult.  Since then she has found horses to be a continued source of inspiration, self-knowledge, strength and learning about real life.  It is through these gracious, beautiful animals that Lynne has gained much knowledge about relationship and connection with others.

It seemed only natural to blend her personal experience with her natural desire to help others in her work.  This desire led Lynne to become certified with the Equine Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) in 2009.  During her Masters program, she did her internship at Animal Assisted Therapy Programs of Colorado (AATPC), expanding the concepts she began with in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) to working with other animals (dogs, goats, cats, rabbits, rats, chickens?).

Lynne's amazing canine partner is Muzzle Tov (aka Muzzy) who is a 7 year old Poodle / Giant Schnauzer mix. He brings his playfulness, incredible social skills, and sensitive intuition to those he meets.  It is Lynne’s sincere hope that in her work with clients, she and her animals can be a grounding part of their personal growth journey.

For self-care, Lynne continues to play and teach violin; another of her lifelong passions.  She currently plays with Flatirons Community Orchestra.  She also goes for long walks with her dog, rides and plays with her horses and enjoys spending time with friends and her grown children.

The name, Musiqus, is the combination of the two areas that Lynne has found to be her constant, joyful, passions throughout her life:  music and equus (horses).
